I've been working on streamlining, combining my blog and my website in the hopes that the resulting simplicity would encourage me to update more often. I'm not going to hold my breath. There are lots of things that I would like to do in theory that don't seem to be finding their way into my daily life. In theory, for example, I'd like to become a vegan. In practice, I'm more interested in this amazing concoction of tapenade and goat cheese on crostini.
And yes, I realize I could have the tapenade and the crostini without the goat cheese, but do you know what that would be? That would be sad.
Speaking of sad, let's talk about my writing life, which has been largely non-existent. I'm in the market for a new project, but I can't seem to come up with one. Ella is in print. The Rock Garden is looking for a publisher, and the witch just needs a title (and some poems need to be overhauled, but they seem to have all been drafted). I came up with an idea about a year ago of writing poems based on scientific laws: Law of Universal Gravitation, Laws of Thermodynamics, and so on. Sadly, everyone who's seen these attempts agrees that they are crap. I'm going to need a different idea. I'm open to suggestions.
